My Turn by Johan Cruyff #bookreview @panmacmillan #bookchatter #tbrchallenge @blogchatter

Pep Guardiola, 51, a Spanish football manager and former player, says he knew nothing about football before knowing Cyruff. So reading the autobiography My Turn by Johan Cruyff became quite important for me. If was only after reading this book that I came to know that I would not have known about this great player if I had not read this book. Johan Cruyff left this world on 24 March 2016. He wanted his funeral to be done in a very simple way. And the same happened, as per his wish. Only his close family members were there. But FC Barcelona did not approve of this. That is why his memorial was kept in the stadium with great respect. Johan was very dear to Ajax, Barcelona, and the Dutch National Team. Bobby Charlton believes that Johan Cruyff was a very great football player and added a new thrill to the game whenever the ball hit him on the field.

Eric Cantona says that Johan was such a great player that he had the ability to perform the best game at any position on the field. Similarly, Gary Lineker tells about Johan Cruyff, the author of this autobiography My Turn, that Cruyff had the ability to do everything that made this beautiful game even more beautiful, and this specialty was more than any player in the history of football. In My Turn, Cruyff is talking about his life, which consisted of nothing but football. As a child, Johan got signed by Ajax merely at the age of 10 while playing football in the streets of Amsterdam. Here he won 3 European cups. In 1973 he was signed by Barcelona at the world's highest price. Here a new journey of his started in which he took the initiative to set record after record. In 1974, Johan took the Dutch National team to the world cup final.

During his tenure, he won many awards and brought a lot of fame to his team. My Turn by Johan Cruyff is a powerful autobiography.

India vs Sri Lanka T20 series ahead of T20 World Cup 2016

India has to outperform in T20 3-match series to stay at number one ICC ranking

India and Sri Lanka are playing two matches today. The first one is happening in Bangladesh. It is Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2016 semi-final. The second one is the first match of India vs Sri Lanka in 3-match T20 series. The 3-match T20 series against Sri Lanka has come just ahead of the T20 World Cup. It is a good time for India to demonstrate excellent performance for two reasons. To stay on top of the T20 ICC Ranking India must win all of the three matches. It is also important to outperform to keep their hopes alive to grab the T20 World Cup championship. In U-19 Cricket World Cup, if India wins against Sri Lanka in the semi-final then the hopes to grab the championship for the fourth time will stay intact. The chances of winning U19 semi-final are high as India has made 243 for 6 in 47 overs.Overall the T20 3-match series is going to be fantastico in all respects.

The first match is scheduled for today to be played at Pune starts at 1930 hours. Captain and wicketkeeper Mahender Singh Dhoni has to perform well in the series. The team is a mix of newcomers and legendaries. JJ Bumrah, P Negi, M K Pandey, HH Pandya are the least experienced players on the team but are quite promising. Although they have not been exposed much with a senior cap on global arena but they carry a lot of fire in their bellies. The spin section will bank on R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja. Yuvraj also can help in getting a breakthrough at the critical junctures of the match. Ashish Nehra and B Kumar will have to command the opening bowling. Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shikhar Dhawan are in special batsmen bucket. Dhoni, Yuvraj, Jadeja, Pandey, Ashwin can speed up the run-rate at the middle and lower middle level. Even Harbhajan Singh sparks in batting at times. A 200+ score is always safe. If India is batting first, they should set a target of 200 or above. A high score helps provides an extra boost to bowling and fielding section.

India vs Sri Lanka Under 19 Cricket World Cup First Semi Final

India against Sri Lanka in semi-final of Under-19 Cricket World Cup

India has to outperform in the first semi-final of Under 19 Cricket World Cup

Unbeaten so far in Under-19 Cricket World Cup, India must win in semi-final against Sri Lanka

It is India vs Sri Lanka in the semi-final of Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The match is at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh. Indian U-19 Cricket World Cup team must maintain their winning streak to stay in the game and reach in the final. Staying unbeaten so far in all their games is a good boost. It is a positive factor to keep Indian team’s tempo and momentum at a high level. The team has excelled in all sections of the game against all four teams so far. India has been a three-time champion in U-19 World Cup. The team won in the final in the years 2000, 2008 and 2012. It was a very decent win against Namibia in the quarter-final of the current Under 19 cricket world cup series. India won by 197 runs. Opener Rishabh Pant was the star of the game with an excellent century.

The batting order of current Indian team playing Under 19 cricket world cup has been able to deliver its best during the time of need and crisis. The tough batting line is one of the prominent reasons for staying unbeatable so far in the game and reaching in the semi-finals safely. Skipper Ishan Kishan has partnered very well with the opener, Rishabh Pant to build a solid start for India against their opponents. Ishan has been a good support but has still to prove his mettle in terms of a big score in an individual capacity. Sarfaraz Khan has been crafty in contributing a couple of half-centuries in the middle order. A solid start and a consistent support from the middle order always help in totalling to a big tally. The same goes true for other middle order batsmen Anmolpreet Singh and Armaan Jaffer. Allrounder Washington Sundar is not far behind in terms of contributing well towards building a respectable total.

If we look at the bowling section of the Indian Under 19 Cricket World Cup team, Khaleed Ahmed, AVesh Khan and Rahul Batham have performed well. These three bowlers have been able to get early breakthrough for the Indian team in almost all the matches played so far. The batting and bowling departments have to perform in the same fashion in the semi-final against Sri Lanka so as to reach in the final unstoppable. The credit goes to Rahul Dravid for coaching the team in a truly professional manner. That is why the team has been able to perform in a fantastico manner.

The spin bowlers are not far behind when we are talking about excellent performances. Sundar, Anmolpreet and Mahipal Lomror have been able to control the opponent batsmen in scoring at a high run-rate at the later stage of the game. Hope the fantastico performance continues and Indian team emerges out as  fourth time winner in the onging Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016. The first semi-final of India vs Sri Lanka is a critical milestone for India. The fantastico performance is swift in the semi-final against Sri Lanka. India is 167 for 3 in 38 overs.
