Few Insights In MSME Sector #GrowingBusinessesTogether #pebbleinwaterswrites

Let's start with some basic facts. MSME is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise sector in India that is growing at a tremendously fast pace in India and across the globe. There is a very clear-cut distinction in terms of investment and turnover prescribed by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises

Till 30 June 2020, the number of registered MSMEs was 1,02,28,484 out of which the count for Micro, Small, and Medium is 8957853, 1220782, and 49849 respectively. The top 3 states with a tally of 1978485, 1106387, and 970237 were Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is the next in the order with a count of 966503. Given below is the yearwise status of budget allocated versus budget utilized.

This website and especially the dashboard (pic below) is worth visiting in case any valuable information is required related to the MSME sector in India and various valued initiatives being taken by the Government of India.

My first good informative session about MSME initiatives happened way back in 2014 when I got an invite for the inauguration of the first MSME-Samsung Technical School in Delhi. This initiative was taken by the Ministry of MSME and Samsung joining hands to set up Technical Schools at MSME Technology Centres across India. Initially, 10 MSME-Samsung Technical Schools were to be wet up in various locations across India. The purpose was to create a pool of talented workforce with hands-on experience. This was in August 2014.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Kalraj Mishra said,

“The MSME Sector employs maximum number of people in India next to Agriculture and to meet skilled manpower requirement in the sector, the Ministry of MSME is committed creating industry responsive manpower by giving thrust on employable skills and vocational training in partnership with Industry. Various field establishments under the Ministry are regularly conducting skill development training programmes through which we have trained more than 6,00,000 youth during the previous year. I hope that this joint initiative of the Ministry of MSME and Samsung would be able to train approx. 10,000 youth per year who would have the opportunity to find placement in various appliances manufacturing organisations including Samsung. I also believe that many of them can also establish their own enterprises and Service Centre for repairing & maintenance of electrical & electronics goods”.

In the same year, in November, Samsung and the Ministry of MSME came out with another great initiative to train youth in various vocational skills from underprivileged communities and gradually equip them to seek job opportunities in the fast-growing consumer electronics manufacturing and service sector.

In May 2015, Samsung Electronics India and the Ministry of MSME launched Samsung Digital Academy. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for MSME, Kalraj Mishra, said,

“The Ministry of MSME continuously looks to provide opportunities to the country’s youth to access current developments across various fields. Industry collaborations allow the Ministry of MSME to strengthen its skill development courses by providing up-to-date, industry-relevant training. This innovative collaboration with Samsung will help youth learn to develop digital content for next-generation ecosystems. As MSME skill development programs reach youth from all socio-economic strata, this program will also help bridge the digital divide.”

In the same month, Samsung India expanded its Skill Development initiatives by setting up its 18th Technical School in Kerala. By then, more than 3,000 students had graduated from various Samsung Technical Schools across India since mid-2014.

In December 2015, I got an opportunity to attend the launch of Sanjay Shah's book on Business Management for the MSME segment. This book was forwarded by Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai and was well appreciated by the Ministry of MSME (including union minister Kalraj Mishra), Charted Accountants, and everybody connected to the MSME ecosystem.

Few Insights In MSME Sector #GrowingBusinessesTogether #pebbleinwaterswrites

It was the NASSCOM SMB conference on"Growing your Business - Digital as a Differentiator" on 16th December 2015 that presented superb insights on the value of going digital and how it can become a catalyst to growth and sustenance.

The emergence of the presence of woman power in the MSME sector was well visible in 2016 while attending a powerful event in September 2016 organized by Womania a - for the women by the women online transportation startup launching Team up 2016 in association with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), Government of India. The purpose was to bring together the key elements of India's startup ecosystem to discuss, exchange ideas and strategies to facilitate entrepreneurial initiatives.

In October 2016, YES Bank launched YES TRANSACT: InvoiceXpress - Digital Working Capital Management for MSME and Corporate business. It was an efficient and secure online platform to accelerate collections and improve the working capital cycle which is the most crucial component for SMEs.

For all these years CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) has been doing great efforts in helping and educating SMEs in various fields through events, workshops, and seminars to help them to learn, grow and sustain. For instance, a timely session on GST Implications on MSMEs and technological solutions to counter the challenges were very useful for the attendees from the SME sector. Similarly, the launch of the SME Industry Group proved to be quite useful.

Dr. Subho Ray, President of IAMAI said in 2018 “Digital technologies can bring in efficiency and economic scaling up in the critical social sectors. Budget 2018 gives recognition to the emerging sectors like Edutech, Agritech, Healthtech in India and is an encouragement for Digital India. 372 basic business reform actions identified for improving ease of doing business in India is a positive step.”

While giving this statement, he had a special focus on SMEs.

The Hi-Tech Robotics Systemz Limited came into the limelight in February 2018 with an announcement oproviding its technology-Novus Aware to Daimler India Commercial Vehicle to help to reduce the number of accidents on Indian roadsThe company had won various awards and accolades including the coveted National Award for being the most innovative MSME and the Most Innovative Company by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in 2017 and with Safety Technology Award 2017 by Autotech Review. It was also named as Top Artificial Intelligence companies by Gartner. This was a great showcase of an SME in innovation, technology, and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

The news in March 2018 was a big boost for the MSME sector in North East. Union Cabinet approved the North East Industrial Development Scheme to boost development in the Northeast. With a financial outlay of Rs, 3000 crores up to March 2020, the NEIDS intended to incentivize the MSME sector in the North East with a big thrust to job creation.

Are you aware of CIMSME? It's Confederation of Indian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise. You must visit this site. It is here that I learned June 27th is celebrated as World MSME Day. In 2018, it was celebrated in Chennai and the slogan that year was 'Small Business, Big Impact.' MSME Day is celebrated to highlight the strong contribution of MSMEs worldwide towards livelihoods, communities, and economies. The focus also stays on the need to support MSMEs towards their success. It is done by raising public awareness about the importance of MSMEs to economical growth and international development. It was amazing to know MSMEs make up more than 90% of the world's economy. Also, MSMEs account for more than 70% of all jobs worldwide. In 2018 there were more than 500 million MSMEs in the world.

It proves MSMEs are major job providers and are potential catalysts for the growth of any economy in the world. Most of the innovation and creativity emerge in MSMEs. Having said that, MSMEs need help in capacity building and financial services to gain their full potential. It becomes very important for governments to encourage informal MSMEs to become part of the formal economy. They also need a good understanding of sustainable and responsible business practices. It is important to ensure no larger businesses become a threat to MSME's growth keeping in mind that MSMEs don't have enough scope and leverage to benefit from the economies of scale, political benefits, or ease of access to capital. Plus, MSMEs should get relaxation in standards and regulations.

In this context, it was good to see a press release from the Government of India titled - Relaxing Lending Norms to MSMEs.

Can HR Become a CEO? Global ACT Mega HR Leadership Conclave 2016

I recently attented the Mega HR Leadership Conclave that largest in the history. The event was entitled Can HR Become a CEO? Global ACT – Global Academy for Consulting and Training is a pioneer organization in offering business focused solutions to various corporates. The event conducted by Global ACT aimed to transform Human Resource management practices in changing dynamics in the organizations. The special guest was none other than Dr. Kiran Bedi. It was good to meet Dr. Bedi for the second time this month. Few days back she was there at an event to falicitate women architects of India. The keynote address was quite enlightening to spark the momentum that was needed for such a huge gathering of almost 800 HR heads from various organizations.

Can HR Become a CEO? Global ACT Mega HR Leadership Conclave 2016

It was also the launch of Dr. Kiran Bedi's book titled Creating Leadership. She addressed the keypoints critical for HR role that explained how can HR become a CEO. She gave five reasons why great companies have happy workers. These are -
  1. Practice Communication and Trust
  2. Carrier Path
  3. Unique Benefits
  4. Conflict Resolutio
  5. Celebrate
The conclave was steered & hosted by Vivek Bindra, Founder & CEO Global ACT. Vivek Bindra is a well-known name in international fraternity as a motivational speaker, CEO coach, and Leadership consultant. He picked up from where Dr. Kiran Bedi left and continued the spark with his motivational and inspiring session. Some of the key points touched by him are:
  • What do you think more important: Doing the right things or doing the things rightly?
  • Scheduling the priority or priortizing the schedule?
  • No matter how great your idea is if you can't execute it, you are not different from someone without an idea.
  • Identify your money making model – for your organization, for your department, for yourself.
  • A laser is capable of drilling a hole in hardest substance like a diamond, or wipe out cancer. If you do the same for your company you can get similar results. Think laser sharp. Make your actions laser sharp.
  • Differntiate between effort score and result score. Make your scoreboards.
  • Learn about Blue Ocean Strategy and Red Ocean Strategy – Blue Ocean Startegy is you have a product having no competition in the market. Red Ocean Strategy is where you eat some share of market segment of your competitor in the same product category.
  • Learn the mantra - I am Successful. Believe. Create. I am Winner.
  • When you give you more than what you get, soon you get more than what you give is a great lesson from Bhagwat Gita.
  • 70% CEOs fail because not of bad strategy but because of poor execution.
  • Change the pattern.
  • When no goal is set in life we start going gole-gole and don't reach anywhere.
  • Change the pattern – and start this change from yourself.
  • Employer must ignite fire in the heart of employees and not at base.
  • Set a target for everyone in the organization as everyone wants to win.
  • Build a concept of concentration like Arjuna in Mahabharata.
  • The problem about problem is thinking that it is a problem.
  • Bring the impact at grassroot level.
  • Idea if not implemented or executed is as good as no idea.
  • It is all in the mind that makes you loose or win.
  • 3 R's of HR – Recruit, Retain, Reward.
  • Where are you now and where do you want to go?
  • Develop laser sharp focus in life. Laser is a weak energy but when focused can cut a diamond or cure cancer.

HR professionals are facing a number of challenges these days like employee attrition, shortage of right human capital strategy, manpower cost getting higher and higher, losing trends in trust on both the sides, uptrending number of disengaged employees, and the list goes endless raising expectations from HR fraternity exponentially higher. At times, HR professionals feel at dead-end while fighting with these situations and thus the speed of execution comes to a halt in the whole organization. All the top CEOs including Fortune companies around the globe that have been fired is not because of lack of strategy but because of lack of execution. The other prominent reason of their failure is not impacting the direct bottom line of cash flows.

Many of the organizations struggle to improve their annual sales number and componding annual growth rate while having top level focus on growth. On analysis they find reasons like employees working in silos, culture of negativity, disloyality, and employees not taking enough responsibility, initiative and owneship.

Global ACT has created a bouquet of solutions to curb these major pain areas to help organizations to mitigate the risks arising out of it. The crisp and customized solutions are there to handle these issues.

Vivek Bindra talked about some solutions carved with precision to improve the customer satisfaction index of an organization without losing a sight of cost, quality and productivity of the organization.

In current situatuons, one of the major role that HR has to perform is to focus on building and mapping the competencies without missing to create impact on cash flow statement. Instead HR starts focusing on gauging the employees instead of focusing on engaging competencies.

There is a critical need of developing laser sharp focus in HR towards developing the strategic VISION of aligning each and every activity with 'The Goal Statement' and should start creating an ROI.

This was the Largets Training for HR gathering under one roof as witnessed and vetted by representatives from Golden Book of World Record and Limca Book of Records.

Global ACT is a pioneer in training and consulting in South Asia. The organizaiton strives as a business enabler and a 360 degree peak performance partner to its corporate clients offering its unique solution of Manpower deployment and cost effective implementation support. The solutions provided help their corporate clients to achieve all their business goals. Global ACT has a strong pool of more than 3000 certified and experienced training partners across the country from various industry verticals. The company claims to reduce the training cost by 20% and increasing training effectiveness by 500%. The client list includes TAFE, Amul, ICAI, Bayer, Airtel, Honda, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, NTPC, NHPC, Kohler, Fevicol, NEC, Escorts, Liberty, Eicher, Canon, Fortis, Haier, PayU, and so on.

Overall it was a grand gathering of HR professionals at this motivational event. Let us see how many of them carry the spark to become a CEO in their organizations.

#FairStart A Public Advocacy Campaign by UNICEF for Every Child

Every child on this earth has a right to get enough opportunities for a #FairStart in his or her life. Usually the real talent of a child gets burried along with his or her wishes in order to fulfill the wishes of his parents, or bend under circumstances and surrender to the situations. UNICEF India is already doing so much for the children, society and various other causes in the country. The same is being done at a larger scale worldwide by the global group UNICEF. UNICEF India launched 'Fair Start' campaign for the purpose of bringing awareness to the society and social media about persisting inequities that large chunk of children in India face that affects their survival, growth and development. The 'Fair Start' film showcases these factors through various angles. The film aims to get an insight into the lives of millions of children coming from different walks of life and having different backgrounds.

#FairStart campaign and 'Fair Start' film wants to elaborate the life of million of children who don't get enough chances in life to show their real talent hidden inside and who are full of potential but are devoid of grow up healthy, happy, and safe. These children have least chances of attending school due to their circumstances and situations. And hence they are less likely to learn, and have high chances of getting married as children. Most of these children are forced to forget their childhood at a very early stage and get engaged in some kind of work in order to earn money.

#FairStart is a drive. It is a mission. It seeks involvement from every element of the society. Every person has to contribute from whichever segment he or she belongs to. After all, everyone has a responsibility towards the children of the nation. Introducing this noble mission and showing the film, Caroline Den Dulk, Chief, Advocacy & Communication, UNICEF India emphasized every child of the country, or rather on this earth, deserves a fair start in his/her life and has an equal right for adequate nutrition, safety, education, psychological and physical protection, sanitation, and health care. The campaign is launched with its primary goal to draw attention to the lives of the children who are deprived of these fundamental and basic rights, usually at times determined simply by where they are born.

#FairStart campaign and Fair Start film tries to convey the message that every child should have a fair and equal chance in life without any consideration of their caste, gender, ethnicity, poverty, religion, or region. The drive in this regard is gaining momentum for last many years as UNICEF is working closely with the Government of India and many other associates to improve the condition of the most vulnerable and deprived children with an aim to ensure that each child born in this vast and complex country gets the best beginning of his life, and gets all possible favorable conditions to develop to his or her full potential.

Every child has a right for a #FairStart. As of now, more than 6 million children in India are out-of-school as per a study conducted by SRI-IMRB for Ministry of HRD, Government of India, in 2014. Census 2011 data says more than 10 million children are engaged in work in the country.. 2013 Report of Sample Registration System shows almost 3500 children die on a daily basis before reaching age 5. A data from RSOC 2013-14 shows 42 percent of tribal children in India are stunted during their growth and development. UNICEF-WHO Joint Monitoring Report 2015 data shows almost half of the population of India which is around 570 million people still practice open defecation. Another data from Census + RSOC 2013-14 states that although girls in India deserve an equal chance in life, but on an average more than 2 million girls marry early every year in the country. Another research shows based on a report by NFHS3 that more than 23% girls between 15-19 years of age experience physical or sexual violence during some point of time.

#FairStart A Public Advocacy Campaign by UNICEF for Every Child

Den Dulk said that mostly such issues faced are severly complex in nature and cut across all layers of society. There is a tremendous change in mindset required to make changes happen in real life. Merely listening to or observing these stastitics or attending these talks or conclaves will not suffice the purpose. The #FairStart campaign comes with a serious purpose of engaging the largest possible chunk of public in a debate and conversation for everyone to see they have a role to play to ensure every child can have a fair chance in life.

The 'Fair Start' film has been produced with the participation of a group of children who have joined bringing their own daily life into the film. The film has been made with a lot of love by the team and they hope everyone likes it. What they need in return is a small portion of help from everybody to get a fair start, life. Every child deserves a #FairStart. Abhishek De, Avant Garde Films feels emotionally that the #FairStart campaign was quite an oustanding and glorious project to work on for him, as well as the entire team at Avant Garde Films. The most memorable thing he remembers was working with such wonderful kids from 'Bigger Than Life' NGO. The children played cast and crew really well. For De, and he is sure for everyone who was a part of this prestigious project, it would be the best memorable experience and will be close to everybody's heart forever.

The crew included wonderful kids like Sahil, Cameraman, Suraj, Art Director, Shawn, Cameraman/ Director, and Belinda, Costume. The kids are just 14, 10, 15, and 13 respectively and have come from very diversified backgrounds. Suraj, for instance, has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The only earning member in the family is their mother who works very hard selling corn. Suraj doesn't mind helping his mother at her work. His father is an alcoholic and fights at home. He wants to become a scientist.

Sahil has a mother and a sister. His father passed away 3 years back. He helps his uncle in laundry work. He goes to an English medium school and wants to become a cricketer when he grows up. Shawn has 6 siblings. His father has left home and mother keeps unwell. That is why he is not able to go to school as he has taken up the responsibility to work and earn money for his home. He loves playing football and yearns to go to school. Belinda is Shawn's younger sister. She goes to a municipal school. She is very shy and wants to become and office accountant. She works at home after school hours.

You must watch this inspiring movie below:

Please do share the movie, the cause #FairChance and contribute in whatever shape you can to build the children of our nation stronger. Let every child get a #FairChance at an appropriate stage of life.

A Strong Governance To Build Strong India: A Short Story

India needs a strong governance with complete intolerance against nonsense

A strong government can build a strong nation

Tolerance does not mean 'no action' against culprits

Anupam Sejriwal is the chief minister of the capital of the great secular country India. The country is known to accommodate all cultures and religions with same intensity and vigor. Somehow there are a lot of irresponsible and antisocial elements that have penetrated the peaceful country. These elements try to create a lot of disturbances within the country. The country has a high level of vigilance that ensures that none of such activities are successful. Everyone in the country is responsible for building a strong India. A strong governance is important. In this highly tolerant country, the strong governance has to run the show with intolerant governance. This is important to keep the crime rate under control. The intolerance is only for the crimes and disturbing elements in the country.
The city has a big heart. It is a city of diversity. On one hand there are multinational companies, high society, hotels, and huge malls. On the other hand, it has been accommodating the migrants from urban areas for higher education and job opportunities. Being A class metro city, there are plenty of opportunities for the same. Youth from other states, cities and villages come to the capital city for learning and higher education. Because of ample scope of jobs, a lot of youth get settled here only after completing their education. They are able to earn almost 4-5 times than they would earn in their native places. Sejriwal is well aware of this fact. To keep the city peaceful and under control, he has built a secret task force for the same. The task force comprises of a skillful think tank and action packed teams. There are scholars, educationists, industrialists and innovators in these teams. Each team has a clear cut agenda to execute. The city has to be as beautiful and accommodative as it has been for years.

A Strong Governance To Build Strong India: A Short Story

The task force of Sejriwal also comprises of investigators, commandos, and fighters. Every evening Sejriwal conducts a meeting for the latest know-how of the city. The investigating agencies are always on their toes to perform their best in order to keep the things under control. A major headache in the city currently is the strike that broke out all of a sudden by the municipal agencies. Being a capital city, there are multiple municipal bodies in the city. These bodies planned to go on strike for the sake of their pending salaries. Due to financial crunch, their salaries were pending for last few years. The earlier state government was responsible for this chaos. But it was Sejriwal who had to manage the show now. He was already aware of the situation. He understood the gravity. He had already instructed his special task force to build an inventory of the people who are jobless and fit well in the respective agencies. He created a big pool of money from his reserved funds to clear off the pending salaries. But these municipal bodies were being secretly governed by the political opponents. That is why even after Sejriwal cleared their arrears and everyone got paid off, still the strike was not called off.

A Strong Governance To Build Strong India: A Short Story

Sejriwal, after a strict warning to these bodies, terminated everyone who was on strike. At the same time the new recruitments were done so that city doesn’t suffer. The functioning of the city didn’t suffer at all. There was a complete overhaul of the staff on a roll right from top to bottom. That is what is required from a fantastico chief minister. The problem creators were removed from the power. It proved that the kingdom is as strong as its leader. The leader proved his worth. A strong governance is a must.

This blog post is inspired by the blogging marathon hosted on IndiBlogger for the launch of the #Fantastico Zica from Tata Motors. You can  apply for a test drive of the hatchback Zica today.

Meet Viktor Yanukovych The King Of Corruption

Ukraine's ex-President Viktor Yanukovych is an undisputed king of corruption

Viktor Yanukovych is thankful to Russian President Vladimir Putin for saving his life

Navigation of corruption leads to Viktor Yanukovych and his estate Mezhyhirya

If you navigate the world of corruption, you will find Viktor Yanukovych as an undisputed king of corruption. Viktor Yanukovych is the former president of Ukraine. He lived in a villa that is one of the costliest villas of the world. During his tenure, corruption was at its peak in the state. A huge value of official assets changed its tag to his personal one. And by the time he was held accountable for a huge spectrum of misappropriations he left the state and got settled in Russia. He is probably the most cunning person on this earth. At the beginning of his career, he was earning just a meagre amount of $700 per month. At quite an early stage of his life, he learnt the art of getting wealthy by adopting unfair means. That was the beginning of his new path towards getting rich in an unusual manner.

Soon he owned his personal estate named Mezhyhirya. The estate included a huge wealth and properties. His estate comprised of a personal zoo, a golf course, a costly villa and many more properties. All this took no time once he got into power in 2010 and became president of Ukraine. He was ousted in 2014 after a heavy civil unrest in the state. After his ouster, his estate was visited by many. The visitors got stunned to witness the overspending done by him. The source of money was still unknown. The light fixtures were estimated around $100 thousand. The decorative woodwork was estimated to be around $2 million. In 2013, Ukraine’s per capita GDP was far below $4k.

In fact, Yanukovych initially rented this huge estate that was almost 140-hectare. It was owned by the then government at that time. This was in 2002 when he had become prime minister of Ukraine. Then there was the Orange Revolution in 2004. Yanukovych could not retain his job as prime minister. As a result, he lost Mezhyhirya. He did some magic and was back in power a year later. He remained in the position of prime minister from 2005 to 2007. Though he left the job of prime minister but retained the estate. It was during this period that there were a lot of dubious transactions that finally made the estate as his personal asset.

In February 2014 Yanukovych fled Ukraine but before that he ensured to dump all important documents that could fall him into big trouble. Yanukovych is living a luxurious life in Russia since then. He gives a lot of credit to the Russian President Vladimir Putin for saving his life and providing him with a protected life in Russia. The navigation of this different world of corruption might lead to a lot of other known and unknown personalities who have lived just for their own interest and adopted any means to satisfy their whims and fancies.

WEF Creates A Peppy Global Team To Study Global Financial System

The World Economic Forum has created a Global Peppy Team To Study Global Financial System

The WEF selected a team to report in Davos World Economic Forum 2017

The Global Peppy team table study report about global financial system in World Economic Forum 2017 in Davos

The future global financial system is under keen observation under the guidance of the WEF (World Economic Forum). A new team has been built by the WEF to perform this serious task. The team comprises of Mark Carney, Governor, Bank of England and Raghuram Rajan, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. The team newly built by the WEF also comprises of Brian Moynihan, Chairman and CEO, Bank of America and Douglas Flint, Chairman, Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). The team is further strengthened with an addition of Michael Corbat, CEO, Citigroup, Laurence Fink, Chairman and CEO, BlackRock, Min Zhu, Deputy Managing Director, IMF (International Monetary Fund) and Liu Mingkang, Researcher fellow, Chinese University of Hong Kong. The forum had its annual meeting recently held in Davos, a week back. It was titled as Davos World Economic Forum. This is probably a classic peppy global team created by WEF to conduct a study on the global financial system.

The powerful task force is equipped with a strong backup teams, equipment and tools. The major task is to study the emerging markets, regulatory and monetary policies, variations in trust in financial services, technology, and financial inclusions. These segments will be distributed among the newly built global team to carry on studies in respective directions so as to arrive at a conclusion at a later stage. This exercise will be happening throughout 2016. The final objective is to publish a concrete set of commendations and a plan of action based on these commendations. The detailed report with defined objectives and drawn out conclusions will be presented at the Davos World Economic Forum 2017 under the WEF’s banner ship. The peppy global team is supposed to produce wonderful results.

It appears that the objectives defined will be achieveable looking at the powerful team of stalwarts. Each team member is a master in its own field and has a proven track record. The objectives are tough but not impossible to achieve. It is important to understand the emerging trends the future global financial system. It is already late. The efforts must have been done a decade back in these directions. It is apparently visible that the gap between the rich and poor in the world is widening at a strange pace. Th poor are becoming poorer and rich are become richer. A small percentage of richest slot of the world is equated to the major chunk of the weaker section of the world in financial terms. It is important to control and govern economies in a structured manner.

The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum to be held in 2017 in Davos is expected to bring eyeopening revealations and a concrete action plan based on those observations. The report  and the action plan are expected to bring most of the economies on a common platform to derive the future of financial system on a global front.  India’s footprints are increasing in all verticals on global scenario. All eyes are set on the peppy global team set by WEF to study global financial system.

Virtual Currencies versus Peppy Currencies

Comparison of virtual currencies and peppy currencies

Peppy currencies are real and warm, virtual currencies are cold

Volume of virtual currencies is almost negligible in front of peppy currencies

How many of us use virtual currencies. I think none of us. Most of us use the real currencies. The currencies that are real and peppy. These currencies have their own warmth and importance. A currency changes a lot of hands every day but still it is dear to all. Everyone needs it. Everyone spends it. That is the energy of peppy currency. When it comes we love it. When it goes, it brings something else in lieu of it. In any case it gives us happiness and satisfaction. Money travels a lot during a day. It changes many hands and undergoes voluminous transactions. There are two kind of transactions mostly that take place when we talk of currency or money.  One, when you have to buy a product or a service, you pay money and you get what you desire. Second, you give it to someone without any tangible return against it. That is called charity. Mostly it is former that takes place in our everyday life.

An ocean of virtual currency is also there into existence. Who operates it and who governs it is something which is not very clear to most of us. The virtual currency probably exists in the virtual world. That is not so. There are transactions that happen on virtual currency. The people owning virtual currency are far less in proportion as compared to the people possessing peppy  currency. It seems probable the virtual currency is overhyped just because of nothing. The EU (European Union) said recently that there is a need to monitor the virtual currency but thinking of its regulation is too early. The virtual currency is too little in use as compared to the peppy currency. There is a fear reportedly stated by the EU about the risks of virtual currency, the major being money laundering.

There are about 600 virtual currencies floating all around the world. All these currencies float in a minuscule proportion except bitcoin that has captured the major stake. Bitcoin has captured more than 90% of the total virtual currencies reign. The total virtual currency sector amounts close to $10 billion. If we compare it with the daily turnover of real or peppy currency it amounts to more than $5 trillion, all currencies together, transacted in the exchange markets worldwide.

Virtual currencies have no real existence. They are transacted online and there is no backing by any bank to it. Can we say the virtual currencies are still in an experimental phase? Are you and me confident enough to transact in virtual currencies? With no backing at all and no governing agency where is the protection and risk mitigation for virtual currencies. After all, nothing can beat the real and peppy currencies that give power and energy to the whole world.
