IPLT20 2021 #BlogchatterA2z #IPLT20 #Cricket

I am watching IPLT20 2021 Matches on Disney+Hotstar through their mobile app. I have taken a yearly subscription. Like most Indians, I love watching cricket. It is our unofficial national game. Though the official one is hockey but the whole country's highest focus is on cricket than any other game. Just for everybody's information, India has qualified for the first time in Olympics in sailing. The credit for this goes to Nethra Kumanan of Chennai. The young girl has created a history. This will definitely boost morale of other young girls and their parents. Well, coming back to IPLT20 2021, I really hate two prominent Bollywood actors promoting tobacco /gutka in a very sophisticated manner.

IPLT20 2021 #BlogchatterA2z #IPLT20 #Cricket

I don't know why for some people after becoming stars, money becomes their top priority beyond everything else. Would a star like his young son of daughter consuming liquor, cigarettes, gutka, or any similar materials motivated by that star's acceptance to promote it. So, the message of clear. Motivation has different colours and shapes. IPLT20 2021 has started from yesterday April 9, 2021. This year it's happening in India. It's happening at 6 different venues. So, overall, 60 matches will be happening in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. The first match, yesterday, was between two strong teams Mumbai Indians, MI, and Royal Challenger Bengaluru.

The second match today is between runner-up of IPLT20 2019 and runner-up of IPLT20 2020, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals' Rishabh Pant wins the toss and invites Dhoni's team to bat first. The way Chennai was batting, their final score would have been around 160. But it was over number 19 by Tom Curran against his brother Sam Curran that changed the equation heavily. Sam Curran continued in the last over also smashing fours and sixes all around the ground taking their final score to 188. Suresh Raina's comeback is wonderful with half century with a strike rate of 150. Delhi, I think, would be easily achieve the target the way Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are hitting as the opening pair.

IPLT20 2021 #BlogchatterA2z #IPLT20 #Cricket

Dhoni, like last IPLT20 in 2000, is not looking very confide not and not leading from the front. Coming at number 7 or 8 of a batsman captain and thinking of contributing significant, the chances are less. As a captain, I am saying. If that baggage of Captain is not there in mind, an all-rounder at that position, like Sam Curran today, become the game changer. By the end of 6 overs, Delhi is going strong with an average of well over 10. Just got to know Pant was less than 3 years old when Dhoni debuted in international cricket. With all due respect to Dhoni for his superlative performances as Indian captain, wicket keeper, and batsman, I feel he should come early in the batting order for his team. I love watching his batting, attitude, and style.

IPLT20 2021 #BlogchatterA2z #IPLT20 #Cricket

Yesterday's match between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli was nail-biting till the last ball. Both the captains are cool and strong. If AB deVilliers was the hero in batting from Royal Challenger Bengaluru, in the bowling section, it was Harshal Patel who was also declared Man of the Match. Among Mumbai Indians openers, Rohit's early run out was a misfortune for the team. Chris Lynn did well before getting out to Washington Sundar at the verge of his half century. Delhi Capitals is still going strong against Chennai Super Kings in the match 2 with 86 for no loss at the end of 9 overs. This match is happening in Delhi at Wankhede Stadium. Yesterday's match was at Chennai.

Asia Cup 2016 – IndiavSriLanka India favourites amidst Injuries

Asia Cup 2016 India will play against Sri Lanka today IndiavSriLanka

Asia Cup 2016 IndiavSriLanka India’s chances are brighter against Sri Lanka

India will be playing against Sri Lanka at Dhaka today in Asia Cup 2016. This is the 7th match of the series. India has already made their presence felt by winning both matches played so far. The India squad includes Captain and wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, J J Bumrah, Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, B Kumar, Ashish Nehra, H H Pandya, Ajinkya Rahane, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, P Negi and Suresh Raina. India won their first match played against the host Bangladesh by 45 runs. Rohit Sharma was the hero of the match by making 83 runs in 55 balls. No other batsmen could prove their mettle from the Indian side. Ashish Nehra bowled brilliantly taking 3 wickets by giving just 23 runs in his full quota of 4 overs.

In the second match, India won against Pakistan in a low scoring match. Pakistan was bowled out at 83. It was Pandya who took 3 wickets and Jadeja took 2. Virat Kohli sparked with 49 runs and his lbw decision was marked as doubtful. If empire had not given this wrong decision India would have won by the larger number of wickets. Sri Lanka is in dicey position by winning one match (against UAE) and losing another against Bangladesh. Pakistan is in the same condition. They won their first match against UAE but lost against India. Bangladesh is in a strong position by winning both their matches so far played against UAE and Sri Lanka respectively. Will India be meeting host Bangladesh in the finals of Asia Cup 2016? Or we see a big shuffling in the coming matches?

If Indian team wins against Sri Lanka today they will be in finals. Most probably Lasith Malinga being injured will not be able to play this match. Dhoni might also not play the match being out of form and suffering from leg sprain. Rohit Sharma’s chances are also bleak. India will bank on Rahane, Kohli, Dhawan and Yuvraj. If Dhawan also is not able to be the part of playing 11 then Yuvraj will have to play big. He has to get his confidence back by hitting a big score in this match of Asia Cup 2016.

India vs Sri Lanka T20 Series 2016 Just Before The T20 World Cup

India vs Sri Lanka 3-match T20 series starting today

India vs Sri Lanka T20 series ahead of T20 World Cup 2016

India has to outperform in T20 3-match series to stay at number one ICC ranking

India and Sri Lanka are playing two matches today. The first one is happening in Bangladesh. It is Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2016 semi-final. The second one is the first match of India vs Sri Lanka in 3-match T20 series. The 3-match T20 series against Sri Lanka has come just ahead of the T20 World Cup. It is a good time for India to demonstrate excellent performance for two reasons. To stay on top of the T20 ICC Ranking India must win all of the three matches. It is also important to outperform to keep their hopes alive to grab the T20 World Cup championship. In U-19 Cricket World Cup, if India wins against Sri Lanka in the semi-final then the hopes to grab the championship for the fourth time will stay intact. The chances of winning U19 semi-final are high as India has made 243 for 6 in 47 overs.Overall the T20 3-match series is going to be fantastico in all respects.

The first match is scheduled for today to be played at Pune starts at 1930 hours. Captain and wicketkeeper Mahender Singh Dhoni has to perform well in the series. The team is a mix of newcomers and legendaries. JJ Bumrah, P Negi, M K Pandey, HH Pandya are the least experienced players on the team but are quite promising. Although they have not been exposed much with a senior cap on global arena but they carry a lot of fire in their bellies. The spin section will bank on R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja. Yuvraj also can help in getting a breakthrough at the critical junctures of the match. Ashish Nehra and B Kumar will have to command the opening bowling. Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shikhar Dhawan are in special batsmen bucket. Dhoni, Yuvraj, Jadeja, Pandey, Ashwin can speed up the run-rate at the middle and lower middle level. Even Harbhajan Singh sparks in batting at times. A 200+ score is always safe. If India is batting first, they should set a target of 200 or above. A high score helps provides an extra boost to bowling and fielding section.

Stalwarts like Tilakratne Dilshan, Chandimal, Perera, Fernando, Gunaratne and Kapugadera are there on the Sri Lankan side to give India a tough fight. The team winning the first match today in the India Vs Sri Lanka T20 Series will have an upper edge in  rest of the two matches. Since the series is just before the T20 World Cup 2016, India has to play well in this T20 series. The match is at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Overall, the Sri Lankan side is less experienced if compared to the Indian team. The second T20 is in Ranchi on February 12. The third and final T20 match will be played at Vishakhapatnam on February 14. Overall, it is going to be a fantastico T20 series against neighbour Sri Lanka.

India vs Sri Lanka Under 19 Cricket World Cup First Semi Final

India against Sri Lanka in semi-final of Under-19 Cricket World Cup

India has to outperform in the first semi-final of Under 19 Cricket World Cup

Unbeaten so far in Under-19 Cricket World Cup, India must win in semi-final against Sri Lanka

It is India vs Sri Lanka in the semi-final of Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The match is at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh. Indian U-19 Cricket World Cup team must maintain their winning streak to stay in the game and reach in the final. Staying unbeaten so far in all their games is a good boost. It is a positive factor to keep Indian team’s tempo and momentum at a high level. The team has excelled in all sections of the game against all four teams so far. India has been a three-time champion in U-19 World Cup. The team won in the final in the years 2000, 2008 and 2012. It was a very decent win against Namibia in the quarter-final of the current Under 19 cricket world cup series. India won by 197 runs. Opener Rishabh Pant was the star of the game with an excellent century.

The batting order of current Indian team playing Under 19 cricket world cup has been able to deliver its best during the time of need and crisis. The tough batting line is one of the prominent reasons for staying unbeatable so far in the game and reaching in the semi-finals safely. Skipper Ishan Kishan has partnered very well with the opener, Rishabh Pant to build a solid start for India against their opponents. Ishan has been a good support but has still to prove his mettle in terms of a big score in an individual capacity. Sarfaraz Khan has been crafty in contributing a couple of half-centuries in the middle order. A solid start and a consistent support from the middle order always help in totalling to a big tally. The same goes true for other middle order batsmen Anmolpreet Singh and Armaan Jaffer. Allrounder Washington Sundar is not far behind in terms of contributing well towards building a respectable total.

If we look at the bowling section of the Indian Under 19 Cricket World Cup team, Khaleed Ahmed, AVesh Khan and Rahul Batham have performed well. These three bowlers have been able to get early breakthrough for the Indian team in almost all the matches played so far. The batting and bowling departments have to perform in the same fashion in the semi-final against Sri Lanka so as to reach in the final unstoppable. The credit goes to Rahul Dravid for coaching the team in a truly professional manner. That is why the team has been able to perform in a fantastico manner.

The spin bowlers are not far behind when we are talking about excellent performances. Sundar, Anmolpreet and Mahipal Lomror have been able to control the opponent batsmen in scoring at a high run-rate at the later stage of the game. Hope the fantastico performance continues and Indian team emerges out as  fourth time winner in the onging Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016. The first semi-final of India vs Sri Lanka is a critical milestone for India. The fantastico performance is swift in the semi-final against Sri Lanka. India is 167 for 3 in 38 overs.

Champions League Twenty20: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Delhi Daredevils: First Five Overs Cleared The Result In Favor Of DD

Manwinder Bisla and Captain Gautam Gambhir opened the bat for Kolkata Knight Riders accepting the challenge put by Delhi Daredevils of 161 to win the game. Gambhir was back on duck in the very first over facing Irfan Pathan. KKR were 1 for the loss of one wicket before the end of first over.Brandon McCullum joined the crease with Bisla. Bisla too went back on the last ball getting lbw out. So first over was not too good for Delhi Daredevils with 3 runs and 2 wicket gone.

Second over, first ball was again a disaster for KKR when McCullum gave a diving catch to Chand on the bowling of Morne Morkel. 4 runs for the loss of 3 top batsmen. Jacques Kallis and Manoj Tiwary, both new batsmen, joined on the pitch to carry KKR score forward towards 160. Yusuf Pathan joined in to share crease with Tiwary. Two overs gone and Kolkata Knight Riders were in a bad shape with 5 runs on board with 3 wickets gone back home.

Third over brought in just 2 singles and a four. And the score was 7 for the loss of 3 wickets. Yusuf Pathan has caliber of lifting up scoring average from low to substantially high. Yet to be seen that magical batting from him in this innings. At the end of 4 overs KKR were just 23 with 3 wickets down. Last ball of the fifth over and the story was clear in favor of Delhi Daredevils with Pathan getting clean bowled on the ball of Umesh Yadav. KKR with 24 for loss of 4 in 5 overs and 137 runs required with an average of over 9 runs were almost out of this game.

Champions League Twenty20: Delhi Daredevils Score Picks Up Later Against Kolkata Knight Riders

87 for the loss of 3 in 13 overs is not too convincing to put tight ropes across Kolkata Knight Riders when Delhi Daredevils is put to bat first after Gambhir won the toss and told Jayawardene to bat first. Unmukt Chand was dropped by Tiwary on the last ball of 14th over at his score of 17 made in 16  balls with 2 fours. Ross Taylor on the other hand was trying to speed up the scoring rate. 100 on board for Delhi Daredevils came in 15th over of the game quite handsomely when Chand pulled a ball by Kallis for a huge six.

DD were 103 for 3 after 15 overs. In 16 overs Delhi Daredevils were at 114 for the loss of 3 wickets. Taylor hit his second six of the game and overall fourth on the ball of Balaji that was thrown short pitch. The next one was sent for a four. And was caught out on boundary on the very next ball. DD was 127 for 4 with Taylor departed at 36 in 23 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. Average was picking up to 7.77 runs per over. But that did not stop Chand to hit on the very next ball for a six and then for a four on the very next to that.

Delhi Daredevils reached at 137 for 4 at the end of 17 overs at an average of 8.13 runs per over. With 3 overs left, there are chances of DD reaching to 170-180. Irfan Pathan was next to join Chand on the field after Taylor got out. Narine clean bowled Unmukt Chand on the fourth ball of his last over and innings' 18th over. Chand made 40 on 27 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Daredevils were 145 for 5. In the same over Naman Ojha gave a practice catch to Yusuf Pathan on boundary. the score at the end of 18 overs was 145 with 6 wickets gone.

2 overs were left for Daredevils. Kallis was given the penultimate over to bowl. Now the chances were less for Delhi crossing 160 mark. Pawan Negi went almost the same way as Ojha getting caught on the boundary. Score stopped moving and was 147 at 7. At the 2nd of 19 overs DD were 147. Average had dropped down to 7.66 from 8.23.

Last over was given to Balaji. Pathan sent second ball of the over across boundary for four. Score crossed 150 mark. With last two balls to spare it was 154. Penultimate ball was sent for a six by Agarkar. And score reached the 160 mark. And last ball was a catch, Agarkar getting out at 8 in 3 balls with 1 six.

Finally Kolkata Knight Riders have been challenged to make 161 to win with an average of 8 runs per over.

Champions League Twenty20: DD vs KKR: Sehwag Jayawardene Leave Early

Kolkata Knight Riders won he toss in their group A match against Delhi Daredevils in Champions League Twenty20 match being played at neutral ground - Centurion. Gambhir invited Jayawardene and team to bat first. Jayawardene and Sehwag opened the innings for Delhi Daredevils but in Narine's first over and first ball Jayawardene's off stump got hit by the ball and he had to leave the crease at his score of 21 made in 19 balls with 4 fours. Team's score was 36 at that time in the beginning of 6th over.

Sehwag was next to go at his score of 22 made in 17  balls with 2 fours and 1 six. That was 9th over of the game and score was 58. And on the penultimate ball of 10th over Pietersen was also sent back to pavilion at his score of 14 made in 18 balls with just 1 four. In 11 overs DD are 71 for the loss of 3 wickets.

WT20 Finals: SL v WI: The Script Is Clear On The Wall: West Indies Are WT20 2012 Champions

Today's Hero was none among Gayle, Charles or Pollard but Dwayne Sammy and Samuels. West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. Till 14 overs they were nowhere in terms of score on the board, with an average of only 6 runs per over and three of their top players back in the pavilion. And then it was Samuels who started cracking sixes all across the ground. He made 78 in 56 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. West Indies has emerged as the maximum six hitter team in this tournament with 49 sixes in their record. Second was Australia with a  big gap, at 32 sixes in the tournament.

Finally West Indies made 137 with an average of 6.85 which at one moment of time was going at 5 runs an over. Sri Lanka lost their opener in second over itself when T Dilshan was out for duck, somewhat in the same manner as West Indies had lost Charles in the first over itself.

With 68 for 6 in 14 overs, the script is clear on the wall as West Indies emerging as WT2012 Champions.

West Indies Gayle-vanized Totally No Watt-son Power From Aussies

Australia was no match to West Indies in WT20 at Premdasa Stadium, Colombo. Everything was in favor of West Indies right since toss. They won the toss, decided to bat and then the whole Australian team was Gayle-vanized absolutely. Bowlers were less than normal against the batsmen. Fielding was sub-standard. Sixes were showering all across the stadium and Australian team was totally helpless.

There was no Watt-son Power visible either in bowling or fielding. The top man of the tournament was a flop man today in all areas. Seems the wonder woman that met Gayle last night gave him enough magic to sparkle on the ground.

WT20 Super Eights SL vs ENG: 168 Might Not Be Enough For Sri Lanka To Hold England Today

It is do or die for England today. If they want to stay in the game, they will have no choice other than making 170 to win this match. Bowling section's turn is over and now it is only the batsmen who have to demonstrate their patience, skill, fire, concentration and what not.

England probably will have to be unstoppable today as it is sheer do or die situation for them. If they have to stay in the game, they have to cross this mental barrier and show their talent in batting.

WT20 Super Eights: PAK vs IND: Indian Batting Was Awesome And Confident: Won by 8 Wickets

After the exit of Gambhir in first over of the game at ducks, Kohli and Sehwag carried out the innings very well and brought India to a comfortable zone by 10th over of the innings where the asking rate was less than 6 per over. Sehwag got out in 11th over on the bowling of Afridi giving catch to Umar Gul. He got out at his score of 29 made in 23 balls with 3 fours. India were 75 at that time. Yuvraj Singh joined Virat Kohli to move Indian innings towards a comfortable win by making 129 runs.

Kohli by then had moved to 62 in 50 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. India got into 3 figures by the end of 14th over. In next 6 overs they had to make 29 runs. Asking rate was less than 5 per over. India were 110 in 15 overs with 19 runs to win in next 5 overs and 8 wickets intact. The asking rate was almost 4 runs per over.

Hero of the day was Virat Kohli. By the end of 16 overs India were 126 for the loss of 2 wickets needing just 3 runs in 28 balls. Kohli was not out at 78 made in 61 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes. Yuvraj Singh on the other hand was not out at 19 runs made in 16 balls with 2 fours. India won the match with 3 overs to spare.

WT20 Super Eights: India v Pak: First 10 Overs: Indian Win Almost Certain

In reply to Pakistan's 128 all out with 2 balls to spare, India started with a  big blow. Opener Gautam Gambhir got caught and bowled out on the second ball of the game with Raza Hasan opening the bowling spree for Pakistan. Thereafter Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli carried on with the Indian batting towards their target of 129 to win. In 5 overs India were 30 for the loss of 1 wicket. Sehwag was at 17 in 12 balls with 3 fours and Kohli was at 11 in 16 balls with 1 four.

First six of the Indian batting was hit by Kohli at the bowling of Afridi in 7th over of the game. India were 45 for the loss of 1 wicket in 7 overs with an average of 6.4. Asking rate was 6.45 runs per over. India's 50 came in 8th over of the game. At the end of 8 overs India were 51 for 1. In 9 overs it was 59. Kohli heading for his half century was at 33 in 31 balls with 3 fours and a solitary six. Sehwag on the other hand was at 24 made in 21 balls with 3 fours. Required run rate fallen down to 6 per over. Thus the pair taking India to a comfort zone.

2 consecutive fours on first opening balls of 10th over took Kohli to 42 and Indian score to 68 for 1. Asking rate for the first time had gone down below 6. It was 5.8. Sehwag and Kohli were batting together at a rate of over 8 runs per over. In 10 overs India are 70 runs requiring jsut 59 more runs in next 10 overs with 9 wickets intact.

WT20 Super Eights: Pak vs India: Pakistan Batting Shattered: All Out At 128

When half of the Pakistan team was back to pavilion in first 10 overs, and that too with batting average of not more than 6 runs, chances of their getting a challenging total had gone quite low. They lost their sixth wicket in 16th over at the time when the two batsmen Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal were looking as well settled and going for a grand total with the help of big hits. It was Shoaib Mailk who got caught in the 16th over being thrown by Ashwin at his score of 28 made in 22 balls with 3 fours.

In 17 overs Pakistan were 114 for the loss of 6 wickets with Umar Akmal playing at 21 made in 16 balls with 1 six and the newcomer Yasir Arafat at 7 in 9 balls with 1 four. In 18th over of the game and Ashwin's 4th over, Pakistan lost their 7th wicket when Umar Akmal got caught by Raina at his score of 21 runs made in 18 balls with 1 six. Pakistan were 115 for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of 18th over with an average of 6.38 runs per over.

With 2 more overs to go, some big hits were required to attain some respectable score on the board. 19th over was given by Dhoni to Zaheer Khan. Eighth wicket of Pakistan was gone on the very first ball of Zaheer Khan when Yasir Arafat got run out at his score of 8 made in 11 balls with 1 four. Second ball gone for four by Umar Gul.
