Pop star Kesha had filed a lawsuit against top producer Dr Luke for harassing her mentally, drugging and sexually assaulting. She lost her bid to be freed from contract him. Her claims have been put void by the court. She was seen in tears sitting among the courtroom audience when the verdict was declared in favour of Dr Luke. She is a platinum-selling pop singer. She said the battle does not end here. She will try her best to cancel the contract with him, she added. The battle is yet to be over. This is just a bad milestone that has gone against her. Dr Luke is a top producer in the music industry. He clearly repudiated Kesha’s claims. He reported that she is spreading these baseless rumours just to duck her contract she has signed for him. The fight will keep going in New York even if Kesha has been denied the results in her favour in the court. There are already two more lawsuits in the pipeline. These lawsuits have been filed in Tennessee and California.

At the time of declaration of the verdict in the courtroom, Kesha was seen in tears. She left the court immediately after the verdict that when in favour of Dr Luke. She refused to make any comments on the result. There were a large number of her fans gathered outside the court. She spent a little time with them, hugged a few and then left the place. In the music industry, this is not the first case of an artist and a producer that has come into limelight. There has been plenty of similar kind in its long history. Kesha called Dr Luke a monster in her swearing statement in August in the courtroom. She explained how Dr Luke raped her after seducing her with a pill that was given to her intentionally. She claimed that she was forced to lose her weight to an extent where she was not allowed to take solid food for over a week. Her career was threatened to be spoiled when she tried to resist against all this. All this developed a series of disorders and mental restlessness that even provoked her to skip meals and even suicide. She was admitted to a rehabilitation centre in 2014.

I am not sure what next step Kesha will take after losing her case in the Supreme Court. Who is right and who is wrong, is still to be ascertained? On one hand there are claims by Kesha. On the other hand, Dr Luke claims the singer is trying to build pressure so that he lets her out of her contract. Fitoor Movie Review Great Expectations Lost - Lack Of Poise And Pulse

Fitoor movie is based on famous Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.

The customized twists in Fitoor didn’t work well lacking poise and pulse.

Fitoor in my opinion should have a better protagonists and remarkable twists.

Fitoor movie ahs been produced by Abhishek Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Story has been customized from the famous novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Story writers are Abhishek Kapoor and Supratik Sen. The Bollywood movie has been directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The director has been acknowledged earlier for certain awards for his talented directorial in Koi P0 Che and Rock On. I don’t say efforts have not been put. But then a lot better could have been done. I didn’t like the protagonists. If lead cast and twists had been handled in a better way, it could have been a superhit. In fact, I would say even with the same story would have been done by taking a different set of protagonists. It is a waste of time and money, I would say. Can’t give more than 2 out of 5 to it.

If you remember a novel Airport by Arthur Hailey, it was a bestseller. The movie Airport directed by George Seaton in 1970. The movie was crafted so well and delivered in such a significant manner that it surpassed the gravity of the novel. In the same context if you remember another movie Other Side Of The Midnight (1977) based on the novel written by Sidney Sheldon was written so beautifully that director Charles Jarrot direction could not do 100% justice to the well crafted novel. Do read both the novels and watch both the movies to understand the difference. And then try correlating it with Fitoor Bollywood movie and novel Great Expectation by Charles Dickens. There is a british movie based on Great Expectations with the same name. The movie didn’t do well and was as convincing as the novel.

The story of Fitoor goes like this. There is a poor child Noor (Aditya Roy Kapur as grown up Noor) who grows up as an artist. He starts playing with brushes to explore his natural talent. The boy meets a charming girl Firdaus Jaan Naqvi (Katrina Kaif as grown up Firdaus) and it is a one sided love at first sight from Noor’s side. Firdaus is quite dominating while Noor is a calm character. The childhood shooting is in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir. At least, scenic views is a good relief to compensate. Tabu has played the role of a opium addicted lady, Begum Hazrat. She turned so as a result of failed love. Begum sends Firdaus to London for education. Both, Noor and Firdaus grow up and Noor is not able to forget his childhood love Firdaus. He decides to try his luck and shifts to Delhi from Kashmir. The life takes lot of turns and twists. Firdaus and Noor meet in Delhi in a party and the childhood love lures up once again. A lot of interesting sequences thereafter. Someone had special plans for the two.

Tabu and Aditya Roy Kapur impress at certain places. Oveall, Fitoor does not fall in a must watch love story. Katrina Kaif fails to impress. Don’t go with great expecations from this Bollywood movie. The music is not too bad. Out of 7 songs, 2-3 might fall in your likeable lyrics list.

When we talk about 5 features of car music system what comes to my mind instantly is certain features like Bluetooth audio, easy control like the placement of control buttons on steering, USB port, voice recognition, and NFC authentication. Though there would be many more. Every person would have a separate choice based on the priorities and likings. It would like to explain these features below and also would discuss why I feel them important to have.

NFC Authentication: NFC is nothing but near field communication. NFC feature enables your device to communicate with other devices. An NFC-enabled device can act as a reader. It can also be read by other devices. This handshaking happens in a close proximity. The music system can handshake with my smartphone via NFC to enable communication. NFC can intelligently record an incident. It can also raise an alert or alarm in case of any incident.

Voice Recognition: I would prefer to have a system that recognizes my voice. In fact, at times, I would prefer it to act as my personal assistant (PA). It must talk to me when I am driving alone and don't want to listen to music, it must talk to me. The talk may be on the latest news, current affairs or any other subject of choice. When I want to play music, it must understand through voice and play the directed number. Voice recognition system can act as an authentication system also. There can be an authentication process in the system. In the case of any discrepancy, the system can raise an alert to the pre-defined numbers. It can act as a powerful safety and security tool.

USB Port: The music system in my car must have USB 2,0 and USB 3.0 ports. I must be able to connect my devices with the system to transfer data from any other device to the music system storage or from music system storage to the connected device. I must also be able to play numbers stored in the connected USB device. There are instances when on the move you get some useful music collection from a friend. The port becomes handy in such moments. You can just copy the stuff to your local storage from friend's USB device.

Bluetooth Audio: The system must pair with my smartphones automatically. While driving, the calls must come to the system directly and I must be able to communicate via its speakers. An easy pairing process can act as a safety system also. In fact, when I sit in the car and my smartphone does not pair with the system for any reason, it must raise an alert.

Easy Control: The steering must have volume and channel controls so that I can easily and comfortably control my music system. It also enhances safety while driving.

Music means rhythm. Any music plays on notes. Music is the game of resonance. Music is the game of frequency, vibration and sound. But there is another very important element in it. It is silence. The importance of silence in music can be felt when you take silence out of it. Any piece of music has elements of silence in it. If there had been no silence in between a song or a piece of music, it would not have been possible for it to reach to enormous heights.

There is no life without music. Everyone loves music. The form and type of music vary. Music travels to your heart without a license. The moment it touches your ears, it starts creating its impact. If it is too loud and fast that does not match your liking and style, probably you will look for an alternative. But at the same instant, there could be a person who likes the same music you hate. For him, it matches well with his style and liking. So the liking varies. The same music can be a linking factor for one, but an unlinking factor for somebody else.

It is said that the silence plays a vital role in music. It is the silence that connects you with music. During those silent moments, you get a chance to actually absorb the music. Silence is probably the absorbing factor. At times, it becomes a psychological game for a music composer to decide on the duration of silence in his music. A small variation in silence can make a big difference. A hit piece of music can become super-hit, or it can happen vice versa.

It takes a lot of practice for music composers to understand the importance of silence in music. Have you ever noticed that when you listen to music, you also listen to the silence? If you have not, try it next time you listen to music. Notice what happens during the moments when there is no music but still you feel entertained and engrossed into it. And during those moments when there is no music, still something is flowing to your ears. During those moments, you can feel something is happening. So for that sake, it means that the silent notes exist. What it also means is that these silent notes during the music notes are as powerful and impactful as latter. So logically, the credit must also go to the instrument players for the moments they stop playing in between. That is what in fact creates the real beauty of music.
