What career did you plan during your education days?
What career did you plan during your education days?
I have always wanted to be a writer, but I was leaning towards being a journalist. I would still LOVE to find my way into having my own column. I also wanted to be an archeologist.
What is your biggest source of inspiration in life?
What is your biggest source of inspiration in life?
Everything and everyone. I see stories and scenes all around me. However, dreams are a huge influence.
What hurts you most in this world?
I'm different - weird. People see it pretty quickly in me. And while I don't mind it, it truly has had a serious effect on my relations with people Most people want normal. Many say I'm intimidating with how independent and "strong" I am. And while I've embraced it, it can be frustrating sometimes. However, I felt hat it's helped me in my writing.
Time and money. Finding time and money to do everything I want to do. How did I overcome it? I'm still working on that.
What is your favorite genre and why?
What is your favorite genre and why?

When did you start writing? What is the purpose of your writing?
I started writing as a kid. Poems, short stories, articles. I went into content writing, press releases and more. I shifted into fiction in 2009 and have stuck with it. I have always had a vast imagination, and I enjoy letting others read my stories.

My upcoming novel, The Long Summer, will release this Spring. It is a coming of age drama. I'm releasing several anthologies that I have parts in through the year. And later this year, I'm releasing book one of my upcoming sci-fi trilogy.
I write in several genres - romantic comedy, crime drama, sci-fi, dystopian...
What keeps you motivating towards writing?
I have all fo these worlds and characters floating around in my head, and I want to get them down on the page.
If Writing a Book is taken as a project, What are the key essentials you take care of in Project Management?
Details are huge. I make note of details like the names, appearance of characters, cities and places mentioned, relationships, etc. I also take a lot of notes of major happenings along with things I want to cover or go back and embellish on.
How do you plan, schedule and monitor your writing commitments?
I am not a planner - or plotter as we're dubbed in our field. I am what we refer to as a panster. I write, take notes as I go and see it like a movie in my mind.
Write, write, write.
What is generally your preference in reading – a paper book or ebook? And why?
I prefer to hold a physical book in my hands. I guess I'm a traditionalist like that. I just like the feel of it.
How much real life goes into fiction writing?
How much real life goes into fiction writing?
I think there's always a little bit of real life that goes into fiction writing. Whether it be a place the author is familiar with, a person they have a crush on or themselves or even a situation they have gone through or want to. All of those things are food for the imagination to take and run with. They make for a great platform to start on and make it into something great.
Is a high level of imagination important to have for an Author?
Yes. Especially fiction. It is vital.
Your dream destination on Earth?
The UK. I will actually be a guest presenter and signer at ChapterCon in London summer 2017, and I get so excited every time I think about it. I've always dreamed of going there and Ireland. So, while I'm in London, I intend on extending my stay a bit and traveling a bit around England and hoping over to Ireland as well if at all possible.
Your origin of birth and other countries you have visited/ stayed. What best things you liked in these countries around the globe?
I am an American. I've been to Canada a number of times. They're pretty cool over there :) But what do I love about Americans? I get very frustrated and do not feel like I fit in, but I admire the US passion and eagerness to advance and do. We are so busy and, as a whole, behave like teenagers without parental supervision. And while, overall, that's annoying, if we handle ourselves right, we will grow up into a pretty epic nation one day. However, if we don't do it right, we will fall. So time will tell.
For me personally? 3am. It's quiet, and most of the area are asleep. The night is beautiful and I get a lot of me time accomplished. However, for my writing, I love first thing in the morning. I guess all parts of the day are beautiful in their own way, and I get the most writing done when I first wake up.
Your zodiac/ sun sign?
LOL, I am an Aries.
Your favorite color and why?
Rich, royal blue. Why? I don't know. It's gorgeous and regal.
What is the last book you finished reading? What is the current book you are reading?
I just finished The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. I'm currently reading Poldark by Winston Graham.
Your favorite book and why?
Greag Bear's Blood Music. It's a sci-fi (no vampires included lol), and it changed my outlook on the world when I was a teenager. You have to read it to see why.
Your favorite movie and why?
Labyrinth - David Bowie was a genius, yes, but I love the characters, the interesting world that was developed, the hard work of the cast and crew and the impossible love story. It truly provides a realistic representation of how often someone will do something for someone because they love them, and that person won't appreciate it and the strife and hurdles that ensue because of it, inevitably ending in longing and broken hearts.
Your favorite celebrity and why?
Aidan Turner. He has a presence I've not seen often. He has a range that's rare. And he seems to have a passion for his craft that I admire. What I wouldn't give to have him play one of my characters in screen or just to sit and pick his brain one day.
