The 32-days marathon Dubai Shopping Festival is an obvious event to attend for many celebrities joining from across the globe. Starting January 1st, 2016, the grand opening is going to be a megastar event. This year the theme is Unwrap The Exceptional. There will be around 200 events and activities that will ensure keeping every visitor and participant fully engaged.
Laila Mohammad Suhail, Chief Executive, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishments (DFRE) is hopeful in getting a phenomenal increase in the number of visitors as compared to previous years. This is the 21st edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). There would be well-known celebrities from the world of music, fashion and lifestyle to provide world's best entertainment. Russia and China contribute a large number of visitors in Dubai Shopping Festival every year. In last few years, there has been a substantial fall in the number of visitors from these two countries.
The earlier years shortfall is being anticipated to be covered this year. Helal Almarri, Marketing Director, Department of Tourism and Commerce, Dubai confirmed that DSF (Dubai Shopping Festival) has been, and will remain among the most attractive events in the Emirates. Noticeably, there are a large number of events that keep taking place all around the year in the emirates. These events, especially the DSF is a major contributor of tourism growth.
