Poetry: Little Girl And Her Jingling Toys

Little girl and toy

Innocence of her childhood
That atmosphere of impunity
Laughter playing in the patio
Those smiling Streets
That happy neighbourhood
The jingle of her toys
Those birds chirping through leaves of the trees

Then suddenly it happened
Something that had not surfaced yet
She suddenly felt
and started realizing so many things
Pain in the eyes of her mother wrapped in fear
The man's eyes glowing in the neighborhood
Untold Tales of things unsaid

All laughing and giggling
Those chirping birds
The unperturbed jingling Toys
All of a sudden turned into silence
On that day, I lost a lot with my lost childhood
All fearless moments turned into gloomy and disconsolate.
