General Motors Withdrawing 41000 Cars From US Customers Over Fuel Leakage Problem

General Motors Company has decided to withdraw approximately 50000 cars among its Pontiac, Saturn and Chevrolet car buyers for the fuel leakage issue being faced in some newly released lots in US. This has happened due to a poorly inspected plastic component that controls fuel transmission and has got deployed in these cars that later came into their notice.
The said plastic component is not at par with the specifications and norms prescribed by NHTSA - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
This defect is dangerous in the sense that it will misguide its driver leaving the car in parking condition whereas it may keep moving.
Mainly these cars have been sold in Florida, Arizona, Neveda, California, Texas and Arkansas areas.
