WI vs Eng: Charles Drives West Indies Total to a Convincing Figure

Samuels left in the 14th over and that was the second wicket down for West Indies. Score was 118 for 2. Samuels could make only 2 runs in 8 balls. Will there be a magical batting to covert 118 to 180 by the end of 20 overs? Or it will it be an easy win for England?

Kieron Pollard can create that magic. He is a superb batsman of the short spell of cricket. The average has further dropped down to 8.4 from 10 runs per over. West Indies need to speed up to a bigger total in balance 6 overs. Charles went for his 3rd six on the last ball of 15th over and the victim was again Patel. Charles was on 61 in 43 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. The first ball of 16th over was tragic for Pollard who got caught out at his score of 1 made in 5 balls. Finn got his first wicket of the match.

Dwayne Bravo, who joined the crease with Charles after the exit of Pollard, need to fire some big shots to drive WI to a convincing total. Two fours on consecutive balls of Finn by Charles must have helped WI in lowering down the psychological pressure Finn created by getting Pollard out.

16 overs gone. WI 140 for 3. Charles on 73 with 8 fours and 3 sixes in just 48 balls. Strike rate just over 152. Four overs to go.
