SL vs NZ: Super Eights: SL So Near And So Far

Angelo Mathews has joined with Tilakratne Dilshan after the departure of Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakara and Mendis. Jayawardene gave a good opening partnership with Dilshan, both making 80 runs for the first wicket before Jayawardene departed at his individual score of 44 runs made in just 26 balls with 3 fours and equal number of sixes.

Sangakara was beautifully run out on the first ball of 13th over at his score of 21 runs made in 14 balls with 4 fours. And then Mendis departed quickly after making just 8 runs in 9 balls with a four in his kitty. But it was Dilshan who kept roaring all around the ground with his scintillating shots keeping all NZ fielders on their toes.

47 balls and 64 runs, still going on, 18th over to start. Dilshan is having 5 fours and 2 powerful sixes in his pocket. It is 28 runs required in 18 balls.
