If I have to bet on who will be the title holder of IPL5 (Indian Premiere League Season 5) finals, I would opt for KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders). It could look strange to many people as the match is happening at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai . CSK (Chennai Super Kings) has done so well so far in all their matches on this stadium. They have an edge over KKR of playing on home ground. But still I could see 5 solid reasons of KKR grabbing the title at the end of the day on May 27th 2012.
5 Reasons are:
1. First Timers: KKR has reached finals for the first time in 5 seasons and that is the reason that they will be more serious but with lesser tension in mind as compared to CSK who are reaching in finals for the fourth time, third in a row. CSK are two time title holders and hence are more under pressure to sustain their stake.
2. Consistent Performance: KKR has a better overall performance this year as compared to CSK. In the overall points tally KKR is at number two while CSK is at number 4.
3. Gautam Gambhir vs Dhoni: Gautam Gambhir has proven to be a much better batsman technically as compared to Dhoni who banks more on his non-textbook shots. Dhoni has not been able to give a consistent performance so far in IPL2012.
4. Sunil Narine: This Trinidadian bowler has been tremendous this season and has got his magical spin bowling recognized among all class of international batsmen in this IPL 2012. CSK batsmen will be under pressure under this young bowler.
5. Home Ground: CSK has a pressure of playing on their home ground having large count of fans supporting them. This will multifold the pressure on their batsmen to perform extraordinarily.
