Apple announced yesterday its upgraded version of iMac computers and low-end portable MacBook computers. This strategic announcement on 20th October 2 days prior to Microsoft’s official launch of Windows 7 on 22nd October seems to be a move to retain their existing customers and attract new customer by showing them a spark of new features in the upgraded versions of iMac and MacBook.
The release includes the first-ever multi-touch mouse (called Magic Mouse) that will allow Mac users to scroll at the speed of a finger stroke. It will also allow them to skip through open web pages with a two-fingered swipe.
Prices are quite competitive (starting from $999 for the MacBook).
