The Suspect by Michael Robotham is a murder mystery. Michael Robotham is an Australian crime fiction writer. We rarely meet a hero in a novel or a movie who is handicapped. Mostly, it is a smart, sharp, handsome, and action packed guy presented as a hero in a story. So, this hero can singlehandedly fight and win against a group of criminals, villains, or miscreants. He would solve any complex mystery with total ease and comfort. He would also perform toughest of the tasks to save the heroine. And all that helps in making a happy ending of the story. But that's all missing in this story. Our hero here is Joseph O'Loughlin who is suffering from Parkinson's disease and is also partially crippled. Despite all these shortcomings, or hero of this story is no less than any other hero. That makes the story more interesting.
Joseph O'Loughlin, the protagonist of The Suspect by Michael Robotham is an professionally successful psychologist practicing it quite well. He is having a perfect family, on top of that. But everything doesn't stay rosy in his life. Very early in the story, his life takes a deep dive and everything that was good in his life starts turning upside down this creating a serious of troubles for him. He gets suspected and convicted of a murder. He had no other choice than to start running from the law. While trying to save himself from the clutches of the law, he gets engaged in more murders. His troubles don't end here. There's somebody around him who wants to kill him and his family. Isn't all this more than enough to make this one of the most interesting stories? Well, tune in and you will find a lot more.
I find The Suspect by Michael Robotham is an altogether a story of different class. If you are finding the hero most interesting part of the story, just hang on, and look at other characters of this extraordinary storyline. The villain is no exception to this. To find the reality of the murderer and the motives behind these murders, you need to grab the book.
