Research recently concluded in Denmark that studied 387 pairs of twins showed that the younger looking of the pair had a higher tendency to live longer than his or her old looking sibling. The story is supported by a scientific reasoning by scientists who connect ageing with an area of repetitive DNA at the end of a chromosome, which protects the end of the chromosome from destruction. This area is termed as Telomere
The length of this area known as Telomere decides the lifespan of a person. Longer the Telomere; longer is the life of a person. And people appearing younger than their age have been determined to have longer Telomere. This has been given as the root cause of their longer life as compared to people who apparently appear more than their age.
