13th match of the Twenty20 World Cup 2012 will be
the first match of Super Eights being played on 27th September
between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. This is scheduled to be played at Pallekele.
Sri Lanka are favorites for this match and might win it comfortably for two
reasons – one, having benefit of playing on their home pitch, and second, New
Zealand are not too comfortable so far in the series. The zeal and fire that is
required to urge a birth in finals is seen missing in NZ team so far in any of
the matches they have played in Group League.
Sri Lanka will definitely bank on their spinners to put
psychological pressure on New Zealand batsmen. If Sri Lanka wins the toss, they
should opt for bowling first so as to contain NZ batsmen in not allowing them
to score big.
