Google is in no mood to approach Apple inc. for promoting or pushing Google maps for iphone 5 after Apple decided to move it out of their list of apps to be loaded on iphone 5 and replacing it with their own maps application. The point to be noted is that Apple's newly introduced application in lieu of Google maps is doing no good for the company.
The application being provided by Apple on iphone 5 is full of ambiguities and its customers worldwide have opposed this decision taken by Apple.
Ultimately it is the Apple inc who is suffering from their own wrong decision taken.
