22,000 Indians Are Driving Japan’s IT Industry

At the end of 2008, there were more than 22,000 Indian IT engineers in Japan, living and working in hi-tech Japanese firms, taking care of their information technology. And the number is going to increase every year if low Japanese birth rates and disinterest from Japan's youth in science and engineering careers continue. On the other hand, is it that those Indian engineers are attracted to big money and recognition outside their own country? Or they don’t get the same respect, pay and recognition in their own home?

  3. I agree with the fact that Indians in general are more tech savvy and many of the non-engineer indians use some small technologies with ease.

In recent past, I have seen some free-lancers in India picking up some small project from Europe and earning enough. A normal india user would never outsource that kind of wok to anyone.

It's a good opportunity for Indian engineers !!
