6 Degrees Game of Blogs by BlogAdda #BookReview #BookChatter #Books

6 Degrees Game of Blogs has been published by Leadstart and produced by Blogadda.com. It has been an innovative concept. The concept has created a publishing history. It is something happened for the first time. The concept is based on collaborative authoring. It worked like a project following project management methodology. There were 30 teams with around 10 members per team. The same set of characters were given to each team. Each team drove the characters and story in their own way, in a collaborative manner. The whole exercise has created a new paradigm in publishing.

Almost 300 Indian bloggers were engaged in this marathon of creating 30 different stories. The whole idea was to create a blogger sourced book with the help of collaborative blogging. And that is why it has been named as Game of Blogs. Judges for the game included prominent Indian Authors like Ashwin Sanghi, Ravi Subramanian, Raksha Bharadia, Meghna Pant, Natasha Badhwar, and Kiran Manral.

As far as the name 6 Degrees Game of Blogs is concerned, it is probably a mystery. What I could think is that it has a relation with the 6 judges. Otherwise, the name has no connection with the stories or the concept, in my opinion.

Whenever I read a story or a novel, I think about a connection among the story, author, and characters of the story. Who drives whom? This is a mystery for me. It appears as if characters once come into shape start pushing the author in a particular direction. Does it impact on the story? Does it change the direction of the story? Or is it the story that forces the author to mould characters accordingly?

The common set of characters given were as below:

Shekhar Dutta is a stay-at-home freelance writer, Roohi's father, and Tara's husband. Tara Dutta is a Media Professional. Roohi Dutta is a 9-year-old girl. Jennifer Joseph is a photographer in Kochi. And Cyrus Daruwala is a law student in Delhi.

The final three stories have given birth to this book. I would rate it 4 on a scale of 5. Here is the video review of this book: https://youtu.be/Gpr9kn1Xan8
